This 1955 GMC 100 pick-up has been in storage since 1975 and is still titled to the original owner (though it appears this is not the current seller). It has the exact level of genuine patina that many “rat rod” style builders are now recreating with custom paint. The 347 V8 the seller claims the truck has was not introduced until 1957 so it is more likely the 287 V8, especially if the low original miles are correct. GMC used Pontiac V8’s in this era and the one year only 287 was marketed as the GMC 288.
While some may consider this truck beyond the point of preservation, the amount of interest it would garner at your local cruise night in its present cosmetic state would far surpass that of any restored example of the marque. Lets hope the next owner gets it running then preserves it. Get more information here on eBay in Meaford Oregon. It has a Buy-it-Now price of $9,500 but bidding is a ways off still at the time of posting.
