This 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS is equipped the the 325 H.P. big block 396 V8 and backed up with the base three-speed manual transmission. An odd combination to see today as many so equipped would have been swapped out for a four-speed over the years. It also has factory air conditioning which further sets this combination apart.
The paint is claimed to be “mostly original”, though there is no indication of how much or where any paintwork has been done. The “Ermine White” paint was popular in period and works well with the original white accented hubcaps.
The 325 H.P. engine is the lowest horsepower version of the 396, but with everything numbers matching that’s just fine.
The interior looks to have survived in remarkable shape. The 1966 Chevelle SS is one of the most popular muscle cars of the era, so finding one in this condition is a rare oppourtunity. Find it here on eBay in Martin Tennessee where it has not yet hit reserve.
