This 1973 Ford Mustang convertible looks to be in extremely good original condition with only 26,000 documented original miles. The colour is definitely from the era – Bright Green Gold Metallic with an Avocado knitted vinyl interior. I believe there were thousands of refrigerators across the country in this colour scheme in the 1970′s.
The original paint presents exceptionally well in the photos. The seller sounds like a connoisseur of original unrestored Mustangs which adds credence to the description. Lots of documentation also helps. The wheels and windshield were changed by previous owners but that appears to be the only major changes in 39 years.
The car is powered by a 351 2-bbl and the engine compartment could pass as two or three years old, not 39.
The Avocado interior looks to be in great condition. Hopefully the aftermarket steering wheel wrap is protecting the rim, not hiding damage. Would any modern car makers have the courage to offer this as an interior colour choice today (and stay in business)? You can find the car here on eBay in Shelburne, Vermont where it still has not yet met reserve with some active bidding.
